Saffold scholarship

The Robert C. Saffold, Sr. Scholarship continues a board member’s legacy of quiet, practical work for the communities FNPH serves. It is independent of buying a home.

A scholarship named for someone who showed up

The Robert C. Saffold, Sr. Scholarship exists because a board member spent his life making a practical difference for young people in Highlands County. The board created this award so that work could keep going — one student at a time.

If you are finishing school and looking at college or vocational training, this page is for you. It is its own door. It is not a housing program.

What we can say today

Who qualifies, when applications are due, and what an award looks like change with each cycle. Those facts stay off this page until Kurt confirms them. Older public pages listed numbers and dates that we will not repeat here.

Two ways to apply

You can send a paper application or start online. Both paths reach the same staff review. Nothing is sent from this draft until the current cycle is confirmed.

What happens after you apply

  1. You send a paper packet or this draft form

Name, how to reach you, and what you want FNPH to know.

  2. Staff review the current cycle

Kurt Krahn receives scholarship applications. Addresses stay off this site.

  3. FNPH follows up when the cycle is open

Wherever you study now — or the school you are finishing.

A short note is enough for this draft. The full current-cycle questions are held.
